Born and raised in Wisconsin, Matt has worked as State Treasurer to save taxpayers money.

Educating the Future
As a former public school teacher, I know the best way to give our kids a head start and prepare them for their future is by providing them with a first-rate education. I support increasing education and per pupil funding, rewarding great teachers, improving safety in schools, and making vocational and technical training more widely available.
Role of Government
At the core of my beliefs is the idea of small, limited government. As someone that grew up working at our small family business, I know firsthand the damage that big government can do to those of us in the private sector. I will work to reduce red tape and improve the business climate.
In Wisconsin we are taxed too much. It is a goal of mine to reduce the tax burden on our families and businesses. I support legislation to make it harder to grow the size of government.
As a proud member of the NRA, I support measures to protect our 2nd Amendment rights. I strongly support the right to concealed carry in our state.
Personal Freedoms and Free Market
I believe in a limited government that does not infringe upon our rights as citizens. This includes my opposition to many mandates, including ObamaCare. I also believe strongly that government should get out of the way and let the American entrepreneur create jobs and grow the economy.
Nothing is more valuable than a human life. Matt is proudly pro-life. Confirmed in the Catholic Church, I will work to promote our community’s traditional family values.
Need for Public Safety
Matt supports tougher penalties for criminals. We must protect victims from violent criminals.
Matt supports the concentrated effort by legislators and Gov. Walker to fight the spread of drug overdoses.
Matt is working with legislators to expand prison capacity while actually lowering costs per prisoner.
